Solution:

Given Information:

Square park with side 50 m

A path with 5 m width is added along the border of the park.

To Find:

The area of the path

Illustration:

It is already given that the path to be present inside the park. So the Path would be present inside between the small square and Big park ( Original park ).

Dimensions of Small Square would be :

= 50 - 2 × 5 m

=> 50 - 10 m = 40 m

Original Dimension = 50 m

So Area of Path = Area of Bigger Part - Area of smaller part

=> Area of Bigger Part = 50² = 2500 m²

=> Area of the smaller Part = 40² = 1600m²

Hence the Area of t he path = 2500 m²- 1600 m²

=> Area of Path = 900m²

Hence the area of the path present inside the park is 900m².
