Answer:

in 5th Sec

0 m

35 m( if rebound)

Step-by-step explanation:

A particle is dropped from a height of 80m . Find the distance traveled in 5th second of its motion.

Dropped so initial Velocity = 0

Using S = ut + (1/2)at²

a  = g = 10 m/s²

Distance Traveled in 5th sec = Distance Travelled in 5 Sec - Distance Traveled in 4 sec

Distance Traveled in 4 sec

= 0 + (1/2)(10)4² = 80 m

So Body Reached ground with in 4 sec

so Distance traveled in 5th Sec = 0  ( if it is not rebound)

if its rebound

then Velocity at time of rebound = 0 + 4*10 = 40 m/s

a = g = -10 m/s²

Distance covered in 5th sec (1st sec after rebound)

= 40*1 +(1/2)(-10)1²

= 35 m
