The answer would be 2r=5m
(Diameter=5m)
After completing one revolution, the particle will reach it's starting point and hence displacement=0
After another half revolution, it will be diametrically opposite to it's starting point and hence the displacement or the shortest distance between the points will be 2r

Diameter of the circle =5m
Its radius = 5/2 = 2.5m
Therefore, displacement of the particles on covering 1 half revolution =2*2.5
=5m
