A particle moves with acceleration a(t)=3t^2-2t and its initial velocity is 0

Initial velocity of some body can be found out if the other parameters like acceleration and time is known.

Given that the acceleration at time t

                    a(t)=3t^2-2t

Initial velocity at t = 0

                       v(t) =\frac{da(t)} {dt} = 6t – 2

                       v(t) = 6t – 2

At time t = 0, v(t) = 6 x 0 – 2 = -2 m/sec

Since it is negative value ,the particle moves in opposite direction.
