From A to C
u=V1, v=V, a=a, s=s
V^2-V1^2=2as
From C to B
u=V, v=V2 a=a. s=s
V2^2-V^2=2as

V^2-V1^2=V2^2-V^2
2(V^2)=V1^2+V2^2
V=(V1^2+V2^2/2)^1/2
