The velocity of the particle is  4.47 m/s and tension in the string is zero.

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of body "m" = 200 g

Radius "r" = 2 m

Velocity at highest point "V" = √ gr

Tension at highest point = 0

T + mg  = mv^2 / r

Now we have to find the velocity.

T + mg  = mv^2 / r

mg = mv^2 / r

g = v^2 / r

V =  √ gr

V =  √ 10 x 2

V =  √ 20 = 4.47 m/s

Thus the velocity of the particle is  4.47 m/s and tension in the string is zero.

Answer:

speed= 4.47m/s

Tension=0

Explanation:

Mass of body, "M" = 200 g

Radius "R" = 2 m

Tension at highest point = 0

Fnet = T+mg

T + mg = MV^2 /R

0 + mg = MV^2/R

g = V^2 /R

V = √gR

V= √10 x 2

V = √20 = 4.47 m/s

Thus the velocity of the particle is 4.47 m/s and tension in the string is zero.
