5/9

Explanation:

s=u+a/2 × (2n-1)

here it starts from rest hence u=0

s=a/2 ×(2n-1)

In the first case :

n=3

s=a/2×(2×3-1)

s=a/2×(5)

s=5a/2

In the second case:

n=5

s=a/2×(2×5-1)

s=a/2×(9)

s=9a/2

ratio:

5a/2 ÷9a/2

5a/2 ×2/9a

5a/9a

5/9 or 5:9
