Find the retardation.

v=-50m/s. (minus is bcoz of upward direction taken -ve)

u=0m/s (rest)

acceleration =?

t=2 sec

By v=u+at

-50=0+a(2)

a= -25m/s²

As acceleration is negetive it is called retardation and retardation =25m/s²
