When a person is walking and holding an object above his/her head, then he/she is applying the force upwards on it. The displacement is along the horizontal direction.
We know,
Work= Force* displacement* cos theta
Work = Force * displacement * cos 90
Work=0 (as cos90=0)
Hence work done by the person is zero

no work is done
because work=force *displacement
there is no displacement =0
work=30*9.8*0
=0
if it is lifted from ground and kept on head
then work=30*9.8*1.7
=498.8J
