And they all work on same voltage with different resistors so the current in all resistors is different and the power consumed by these resistors are different

So total power consumed by the resistors is given as

P = P_1 + P_2 ...............

While we know that the two appliances are connected in series so here current in all will be same while the voltage across all will be different

Due to this the power consumed by all resistors are different and voltage drop across all resistors is also different

So they will not work on their rated voltage and shows error
