Current Speed is 20 % of Boat Speed in Still Water

Step-by-step explanation:

time taken to cover 3 km down stream

is equal to time taken to cover 2 km upstream

Let say Speed of Boat in Still water = B  km/Hr

Speed of Current = S  km/hr

Time for 3 km Downstream  =  3/(B + S)

Time for 2 km upstream  = 2/(B - S)

3/(B + S) = 2/(B - S)

=> 3B - 3S = 2B + 2S

=> B = 5S

=> S = B/5

Current Speed is 20 % of Boat Speed in Still Water
