let no. of Rs. 50 notes be 3x and Rs. 10 notes be 5x

A/Q,

=> 50 X 3x + 10 X 5x = 2400

=> 150x + 50x = 2400

=> 200x = 2400

=> x = 12

total no. of Rs. 50 notes = 3 x 12 = 36

total no. of Rs. 10 notes = 5 x 12 = 60

Answer:

36 notes and 60 notes respectively

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, Ratio = 3 : 5

let the value of ration be y, then

Total Sum of Rs. 50 notes : 3y * 50 = 150y Rs.

Total Sum of Rs. 10 notes : 5y * 10 = 50y Rs.

Total sum = Rs. 2400

since, 150y + 50y = 2400

             200y = 2400

                    y = 2400 / 200

                    y = 12

Therefore, No. of Rs. 50 notes : 3x = 3 * 12 = 36 notes

                  No. of Rs. 10 notes: 5x = 5 * 12 = 60 notes
