A person is in a room whose ceiling and two adjacent
walls are mirrors. How many images are formed?​

Answer: 7 images will be formed by two adjacent walls and a ceiling all being plane mirrors.

Explanation:

The walls will act as two mirrors inclined to each others at 90° and so will form

360÷90(∅)=4.

Since it is an even number hence total no. of images formed is 4-1 = 3 .

Now these images with object(Person) will act as objects for the ceiling of the mirror and so ceiling will form 4 images as shown.

Hence total no. of images formed is 3+4= 7.
