A person is not able to see distinctly the objects placed beyond 2m from him .Giving reason identify the defect in his eye write the nature of Lens used to correct the defect

The person has a short sight defect and is not able to view distant objects. This is myopia.  This is corrected by using concave lens to form the image on the retina.  The lens forms a virtual image at 2 m from the eye. Then the eye muscles and eye lens forms the image right on the retina.

The focal length of the lens = - 2 m
power = - 0.50 Dioptres
