Social status these days, lies much in material possessions a person holds. However, values like honour, kindness, trust etc. still play a major role in making or breaking the social status of a person. Without these moral values, most people will not place their trust on a person, who has risen up in society by power of wealth alone.

A healthy mix of moral values and material possessions, which is used in the betterment of society, is what is required to make a person socially superior.
