• A picture is 1.2 m long and 50 cm broad? What is the
length of the wooden frame needed for framing the
picture? What is the area of the glass required to
cover the picture in the frame?

Given,

Length of the picture =1.2m

Breadth of the picture =50 cm=0.5 m

And area of glass required to cover the picture is equal to area of the picture,

required Area=length×breath

=1.2×0.5=0.6m ²

Hence, the required area to cover the picture is 0.6m ²
