- Volume of iron = 25 cm³
We need to find ,
♦ Density in ,
- gcm⁻³
- kgcm⁻³
As we know that ,
Density = Mass/Volume
■ i) gcm⁻³
Since , the units are in g & cm⁻³
So , we don't need to convert the units .
⇒ Density = 195/25
⇒ Density = 7.8 gcm⁻³
■ ii) Kgm⁻³
Firstly we need to convert g → kg & cm⁻³ → m⁻³ because here units are different .
• 195g = 0.195 kg
• 25cm³ = 2.5 × 10⁻⁵ m³
Substituting we have ,
⇒ Density = 0.195 ÷ 2.5 × 10⁻⁵
⇒ Density = 7800 kgm⁻³
Hence ,
- Density in gcm⁻³ = 7.8 gcm⁻³
