Answer

As A and B do same work

LCM (20,25)=100

Let say A and B do 100 work

Per day work of B=100/20=5

Per day work of A=100/25=4

Per day work if B and A both work together=5+4=9

Both together worked for 5 days.

Therefore work completed in 5 days=5×9=45

Now work which is left =100–45=55

As B left the work after 5 days ,A alone will work to complete 55 work

Per day work of A ×days = 55

days =55/4

days=13 3/4

Therefore total work will be completed by

5+13 3/4=18 and 3/4 days

Answer is 18 3/4
