Answer:

5.3

Step-by-step explanation:

x+5/2+21/5=10

x+5/2+11/5=10

LCM:

10x+25+22/10=10

10x+47=10×10

10x+47=100

10x=100-47

10x=53

x=53/10

x=5.3

Total length of the rope = 10m

If the rope is cut in 3 pieces

Length of the 1st piece = 5/2m

Length of the 2nd piece = 2 1/5 = 21/5.

\tt\Large{\green{To\: find:-}}

Length of the 3rd piece?

\tt\large{\red{Solution:-}}

x = total length - (length of 1st piece+length of second piece)

= 10 - (5/2 + 21/5)

= 10 - (25/10 + 42/10)

= 10 - (25 + 42/10)

= 10/1 - 67/10

= (100 - 67)/10

= 33/10

= 3 3/10m

Therefore, the length of remaining piece is 3 3/10 m.
