A pit 7 metre long and 2.5 m wide is dug to a certain depth. If the volume of the earth taken out of it is 28cu.m, what is the depth of the pit ?

Volume of earth= l*b*h
28=7*2.5*h
28\7*2.5=h
h=28*10\7*25
=40\25
h=1.6m

Depth of the pit is 1.6 meters.
