A point is situated at 6.5 cm and 6.65 cm from two coherent sources. Find the nature of illumination at the point if wavelength of light is 5000 \overset{\circ}{A}.

Here is your answer...

Path difference = 0.15cm = 15 * 10-4 m

Wavelength = 5000A = 5 * 10-7 m

If path difference = n * wavelength , then it will be a point of constructive interference where n is Natural number.

Here , the n = (15 * 10-4) / (5 * 10-7) = 3000 is natural number

Hence the point will undergo constructive interference and will be bright.
