A portion of a lens is broken. Will we get a complete image of an object with such a lens ?

Yes, you will get a complete image even with a broken lens because each part of the lens can bend the lights just like a normal lens. In other words, even small parts of the lens acts as a complete small lens.


But the clarity of the image will decrease as the number of rays passing through it as less.
