A projectile is fired at a velocity of 150 m/s at an angle of 300 with the horizontal. What is the magnitude of the vertical component of the velocity at the time the projectile is fired?

Now...since the object makes 30° with the horizontal... I can say...

Horizontal component of velocity =

vcos30° = 75√3

And vertical component = vsin30°

= 150/2 = 75m/s
