A proton and an electron travelling along parallel paths enter a region of uniform magnetic field o, acting perpendicular to their paths. Which of them will move in a circular path with higher frequency.

When a moving charged particle Q enters a uniform magnetic field B perpendicularly , then path of charged particle is circular .
and frequency of it is given by
f = QB/2πm
Here it is clear that f is inversely proportional to mass when magnitude of charge is same .
In case of electron and proton , magnitude of charge on both are same e.g., 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹C , but mass of proton = 1.673 × 10⁻²⁷ Kg and mass of electron = 9.1 × 10⁻³¹ kg . e.g., mass of proton >> mass of electron
So, frequency of proton << frequency of electron

Hence, electron moves with higher frequency .
