Answer:

2 km

Step-by-step explanation:

speed is equal to distance by time

speed = 600÷150

speed = 4km/minute

(1 minute = 60 secs)

4km = 60 secs

therefore 30 secs = 2km ( 4 ÷ 2)

Answer:

Speed in m/s = 66.65 m/s (approx)

Distance travelled by car in 30s = 333.25 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Distance covered by car = 600 km

Time taken = 2 hr 30 mins (150 mins)

To find :

(i) Speed of car in m/s .

(ii) Distance travelled by car in 30 seconds

Concept :

First find the speed of the car in km/hr after that find the speed in m/s .

So , to find the speed in km/hr use this equation -:

\boxed{\sf{S_{k}=600km\div\dfrac{150mins}{60min}}}

After that to find the speed in m/s use this formula -:

\boxed{\sf{S_{m}=\dfrac{5}{18}\times\:S_{k}}}

Where,

\sf{S_{m}=Speed\:in\:m/s}

\sf{S_{k}=Speed\:in\:km/hr}

And to find the distance travelled by the car in 30 seconds use this formula -:

\boxed{\sf{D=S\:\times\:T}}

Where,

D = Distance

S = Speed

T = Time

Solution :

Speed in m/s -:

First in km/hr -:

\Rightarrow\sf{S_{k}=600\div\dfrac{\cancel{150}min}{\cancel{60}min}}

\Rightarrow\sf{S_{k}=\cancel{600}km\times\dfrac{2}{\cancel{5}}}

\Rightarrow\sf{S_{k}=120\times2}

\Rightarrow\sf{S_{k}=240km/hr}

Now , speed in m/s -:

\Rightarrow\sf{S_{m}=\dfrac{5}{18}\times240km/hr}

\Rightarrow\sf{S_{m}=5\times13.33(approx)}

\Rightarrow\sf{S_{m}=66.65m/s(approx)}

Speed of car in m/s in 66.65 m/s (approx) .

Distance travelled by car in 30 seconds -:

\Rightarrow\sf{D=66.65\times30s}

\Rightarrow\sf{D=333.25m(approx)}

Distance travelled by the car is 333.25 m (approx) .
