Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the money with Gayatri be x .

Money with Sandeep  = x + 50,

Since each is given 15 rupees,

So Money with Gayatri  now = x + 15

     Money with Sandeep now = x + 50 + 15 = x + 65

Given the ratio of the money they had is 3:1

=> x + 65/x+15 = 3/1

//by Cross multiplication

=> x + 65 = 3x + 45

=> 3x - x = 65 - 45

=> 2x = 20

=> x = 20/2 = 10.

Thus Gayatri had Rs.10 in the beginning.

Gayatri had to begin with Rs.10

Given :

Sandeep have Rs.50 more than Gayatri

If both given Rs.15 the ratio of money they have is 1 : 3

To Find :

How much money Gayathri have gayatri begin with.

Solution :

Let the amount of money That Gayatri had as x.

As by given we know sandeep have Rs.50 more than gayatri. So, the amount of money Sandeep had is x + 50

When each given Rs.15 then the amount of money they have is

Gayatri = x + 15

Sandeep = x + 50 + 15 = x + 65

We know that after giving Rs.15 each the ratio of the money they have is 3 : 1

It can be denoted as ,

 \frac{x + 65}{x + 15}  =  \frac{3}{1}

1(x + 65) = 3(x + 15)

x + 65 = 3x + 45

3x - x = 65 - 45

2x = 20

x =  \frac{20}{2}

x = 10

Gayatri have to begin with Rs.10
