first of all , we convert 60 watt into kw by divided by 1000 .

power = 60 /1000 . kw

and , time = 50 hrs.

energy consume = power × time .

60 /1000 ×50

then answer = 3 units or kwh .

i hope it will help you ...... !!!

Given,

Power of a radio set = 60 w

Total time of operation of the radio set = 50 hours

To find,

Total units of electrical energy consumed by the radio set, in kWh.

Solution,

We can simply solve this numerical problem by using the following process:

Mathematically, electrical power can be expressed as;

Electrical power (P)

= Energy consumed (E) / Time (T)

I.e., Energy consumed (E) = Electrical power (P) x Time (T)

Now,

The total electrical energy consumed by the radio set

= Electrical power (P) x Time (T)

= 60 w x 50 hours

= 3000 watt-hours

= 3 kilowatt-hours = 3 kWh

= 3 electrical units

( Since 1 kWh = 1 electrical unit )

Hence, a total of 3 units of electrical energy is consumed by the radio set.
