Let the rational number be x .
According to question ,

 \frac{5}2{x}  \frac{2}{3}  \frac{-7}{12}

  \frac{5}2{x}   =  \frac{-7}{12} -  \frac{2}{3}

  \frac{5}2{x}  \frac{-15}{12}
Using Cross Multiplication ,

60x = -30
x =  \frac{-30}{60}
x =  \frac{-1}{2}

Hence ,  \frac{-1}{2} is Desirable Value.

Answer:

Let x be the rational number.

5/2 × ( 3 / 3 = 7 / 12 )

5/2 * = 7 / 12 -1/3

5/2 = -7 - ( 2 - 4 ) / 12

5/2 × - 15 / 2

Multiplying both sides by ( 2/15 )

x = - 15 / 12 × 2 / 5 = - 1/2

.•. Rational number = - 1/2
