(B) When light is incident from diamond to water:

In this case there are three cases.

(i) When angle of incidence is lesser than critical angle:

The light gets refracted away from the normal.

(ii) When angle of incidence is equal to critical angle:

The light gets refracted at 90°

(iii) When angle of incidence is greater than critical angle:

The light is reflected back in the same medium (diamond).
