A. Read the following passage on the vastness of oceans. There are 21 adjectives in the
passage. Identify and underline all of them. Write which kind they are in the space
below the passage. One has been done for you.
Oceans are vast, puzzling and beautiful. Although, most of the planet is covered with
water, we have little information about the underwater world
David Gallo is an American oceanographer. He explores the oceans and shares his
findings with us. He and his team have developed high definition cameras to capture
the strange creatures who live miles below the surface
There is an astonishing range of terrains at the bottom of the oceans. The sunlight does
not reach there. Yet, it has deep yalleys, active volcanoes, mountains, lakes and even
waterfalls! Did you know it also has the longest mountain range on the planet? It is
called the Mid-Oceanic Ridge. Its peaks are higher than the Alps.
Yet we only know three per cent of the underwater world. According to Gallo, the rest
of it is either empty or full of more surprises!
