a rectangle and a square have the same perimeter of 40 m if the length of a rectangle is 4 m more than the side of the square find its breadth

perimeter=40m
length of rectangle=4+side of square
let the side of square be x
so length of the rectangle=x+4

so
perimeter of the square=4×side
40=4x
x=40/4
x=10m

length of the rectangle=x+4
=10+4
=14m

breadth of rectangle=?

so
perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)
40=2(14+b)
40/2=14+b
20=14+b
20-14=b
b=6m
