Hi friend,

How are you?

Here is your answer:-

ANSWER:-

Area of a rectangle=24m^2(given).

Let the length and breadth of a rectangle be x and y metres respectively.

Since,it is given that a perimeter of a rectangle is 20m.

Therefore, 2(x+y)=20m

=>x+y=20/2=10

=>y=10-x

=>x×y=24

=>x×(10-x)=24

=>10x-x^2=24

=>x^2-10x+24=0

=>x^2-6x-4x+24=0

=>x(x-6)-4(x-6)=0

=>(x-6)(x-4)=0

=>(x-6)=0 and (x-4)=0

=>x=6 and x=4

Hence,the length of a rectangle is

6 meters or 4 meters.

I hope this answer may help you.

Thank you,

Goodbye and have a great day.
