A rectangular block of wood has dimensions 24 cm by 9 cm by 7 cm. It is cut up into bricks. Each brick is a

cube of side 3 cm. Find the largest number of bricks that can be cut from the block.

let n be the number of bricks which is made by rectangular block...

hence
n*volume of 1 brick=volume of block
n*(3*3*3)=24*9*7
hence no. of bricks(n)=1512/27
=56 bricks.......
