Length of the longer path = 32 meter and width of the longer path = 1.5 meter
Area of the longer path = L*B
= 32*1.5
Area of the longer path = 48 sq m
Length of the shorter path = 18 meter and width of the shorter path = 1 meter
Area = 18*1
Area of the shorter path = 18 sq m
Total area of the two paths = 48 + 18
Total area = 66 sq m
Answer.

Area of the rectangular portion at the center should be subtracted from 66 sq m. Area of the rectangular part at the center = 1.5*1 = 1.5 sq m Total area of the paths = 66 - 1.5 = 64.5 sq m. Answer.
