Length of the rectangular lawn = 38 Mtrs.

Breadth of the rectangular lawn = 25 Mtrs.

Width of the path surrounding the lawn = 2.5 Mtrs.

So the length of the rectangular Lawn with the path = 38 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 43 Mtrs.

So thebreadth of the rectangular Lawn with the path = 25 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 30 Mtrs.

Area of the rectangular lawn = Length x Breadth = 38 x 25 = 950 M2.

Area of the rectangular lawn including the path = Length x Breadth = 43 x 30 = 1290 M2.

So the area of the surrounding path = 1290 - 950 = 340 M2.

Rate of the gravelling the path = Rs. 120 per M2.

Then the cost of gravelling the path = 340 x 120 = Rs 40800.

Ans: Rs. 40800.
