a rectangular piece of Garden is 45 M long and 30 M wide it has two rods each 1 m with running Midway with in IT 1 parallel to the length and the other parallel to the breadth find the area of the roads also calculate the area of the remaining Garden

area of garden=l×b

=45×30

=1350m^2

length of road parallel to length of garden=45m

area=l×b

=45×1

=45m^2

lengthof road parallel to breadth of garden=30m

area=l×b

=30×1

=30m^2

total area of road=45+30-1^2

=85-1

=84m^2

hence total area of road is 84m^2.

area of remaining part of garden=1350-84

=1266m^2

remaining part of garden is 1266m^2.
