Pressure = force or thrust Areaρgh= Thrust Area Thrust = ρgh×Area            = 103×10×2×100            =2×106 N

Answer:

Given that,

density of water (ρ)=10^3   Kg/m^3

water fixed up till height (h)=2 m

Area of base (A)=100 m^2 .

assuming atmospheric pressure (Pa) = 1 atm≃10^5 Pa

so, pressure at bottom of tank,

P=Pa +ρgh

=10^5 + 10^3 x 10 x 2

P=(1.2×10^5)Pa

Thus, thrust on bottom surface,

F=P.A=(1.2×10^5)×10^2⇒F=1.2×10^7  N
