Total Volume of rectangular tank = L*B*H = 8*7*5 = 280m³
1m³ = 1000 litres
∴ 280m³ = 280*1000 litres = 280000 litres
Here, depth of tank means height.
∴ Net volume of rectangular tank = 8*7*2 = 112m³ = 112*1000 = 112000 litres
∴ Water the tank can hold = 280000 - 112000 = 168000 litres
∴The rectangular tank can hold 168000 litres of water more.
