Here, hypotenuse is 13 cm... One side is 12 & other side is 5 as
 {13}^{2}  =  {12}^{2}  +  {5}^{2}
area =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 12 \times 5 = 30
Area=30cm^2

Answer:

30 sq.cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hypotenuse = 13 cm

Perpendicular = 12 cm

To Find Base we will use Pythagorean theorem

Hypotenuse^2=Perpendicular^2+Base^2

13^2=12^2+Base^2

169=144+Base^2

169-144=Base^2

25=Base^2

5=Base

Area of triangle = \frac{1}{2} \times Base \times Height

                         = \frac{1}{2} \times 5 \times 12

                         = 30 cm^2

Hence the area of the triangle is 30 sq.cm.
