A lessee is a person who rents land or property from a lessor. The lessee is also known as the "tenant".

A lessee must abide by specific obligations as laid out in the lease agreement and by law. It is a  legally binding document ,if  violated by the lessee he or she could be evicted.

Tenant or the Lessee has the right to exclusive possession of the leased premises in return for the Tenant paying rent.
