A rocket can move in air free space, but a jet plane cannot. Why?

A rocket have shape like a coil ... which pressurize the air coming before it. as we know more pressure exerted in low area . that's concept used air . whereas jet plane have streamline body and it helps it to go through the air . Hope it helps

Jet plane use atmospheric oxygen as a fuel or they use atmospheric oxygen for combustion. Whereas rocket does not require atmospheric oxygen, it has its own fuel therefore a rocket can move in air free space,but a jet plane cannot.
