Given:

  • 38 square tiles of side 40 cm is paved on a room's floor.

To find:

  • The area of room's floor.

Formula used:

  • Area of square = side × side sq.units.

Solution:

Area of a tile × 38 = Area of floor

→ (side × side) × 38 = Area of floor

→ (40 × 40) × 38 = Area of floor

→ 1600 × 38 = Area of floor

→ 60,800 cm² = Area of floor

→ 608 m² = Area of floor

Therefore, the area of room's floor is 608 m².
