A rope lies on table such that part of it lays over.the rope begins to slide when the length of hanging part is 25% of entire length .the coefficient of friction betwn rope and table is..?

Let the coefficient of kinetic friction be k.

L/4 th part is hanging while 3L/4 th part is on the table.

So,


l/4*mg=k*3l/4 mg

Solving this we get k=1/3
