Time taken = 45 ×60 = 2700s

Distance = 27× 1000 = 27000m

Speed = 27000/2700

= 10 m/s

Speed in km/h = 10 × 18/5 = 36 km/h

.

Hope it helps you...

Given :

A school bus takes 45 minute to cover a distance of 27 km.

To Find:

Calculate its speed in km/h and m/s

Solution:

Distance = 27 km

Time = 45 minutes

60 minutes = 1 hour

45 minutes =\frac{45}{60} hour

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time}

Speed = \frac{27}{\frac{45}{60}}

Speed =36 km/hr

1 km = 1000 m

1 hour = 3600 sec

Speed in m/sec = 36 \times \frac{1000}{3600}=10 m/s

Hence Its speed in km/hr is 36 km/hr and in m/sec is 10 m/sec
