Let the marked price be x Rs.

Since customer gets a discount of 10 %

:. The discounted price = X *90/100

= 9x/10

:. The amount paid by customer = 9x/10 *108/100 =243x/250

:. 243x/250= 3402

:. x = 3402*250/243

:. x = 3500

:. The marked price = 3500 Rs.

Answer:

Rs.3500.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the marked price be 'x'.

sales price = marked price- 10% of marked price = 90% marked price

                  = 90/100 * x = 9x/10.

paying price of customer (including sales tax) = 9x/10 + (9x/10 * 8/100)

                                                                            = 972x/1000.

given customer pays Rs. 3402.

Therefore, 972x/1000 = 3402

i.e., x = 3500.

Therefore, marked price = Rs. 3500.
