cost price=RS.1400
MARKED PRICE (MP)=60%above MP=(60*1400\100)+CP=RS.(840+1400)
MARKED PRICE=RS.2240
Discount=15%
discount given=discount %*MP\100
Discount given=60*2240/100=RS.1344

Answer:

2240 Rs.

336 Rs.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question,

Cost price of suit piece, C.P. = 1400

He marked it 60 % above the C.P.

So,

Mark price = 1400 +1400\times \frac{60}{100}

                  = 1400 +14 x 60

                  = 1400 + 840

                  = 2240 Rs.

then, he allows discount of 15 % on mark price.

=2240\times\frac{15}{100}

= 112 x 3

= 336 Rs.

Hence the marked price = 2240 Rs.

and the discount = 336 Rs.
