A shopkeeper buys an article for Rs 450. He marks it at 20% above the cost price.Find the marked price, the selling if he sells the article at 10% discount.. and also find the percentage discount given by him if he sells the article for Rs 496.80

marked price = 450/100*120=540
selling price =540/90*100=486
discount percentage =43.20/540*100=8%

Profit=20/100*450--------->Profit=Rs. 90

MP=CP+Profit---------->MP=450+90---------->MP=Rs. 540.

SP=MP(100-D%)/100-------->SP=540*90/100--------->SP=Rs. 486.

Discount=MP-SP---------->Discount=540-496.80---------->Discount=Rs. 43.20

Discount%=D/MP*100--------->Discount%=43.2/540*100

Discount%= 8%
