Given :

  1. Buys = 80 eggs for ₹400
  2. Sells = 30 eggs for ₹112.50

To find :

  • Profit / Loss %

Cost price :

= 80 Eggs = ₹400

= 1 Egg = 400 / 80

= 1 Egg = ₹5

Selling price :

= 30 Eggs = ₹112.50

= 1 Egg = 112.50 / 30

= 1 Egg = ₹3.75

He bought 1 Egg = ₹5 But Sold 1 Egg = ₹3.75

So, It's Loss

Loss :

Loss = Cost price of 1 Egg - Selling price of 1 Egg

= ₹5 - ₹3.75

= ₹1.25

Loss % :

Loss % = Loss / Cost price × 100

= 1.25 / 5 × 100

= 25%
