Given,

radius of the bigger laddoo = 5cm

radius of the smaller laddoo = 2.5 cm

To find,

Number of smaller laddoo that can be made from the material of the bigger laddoo.

Solution,

We can easily solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Volume of the bigger laddoo = [4/3 × π × (5)³] cm³

Volume of the smaller laddoo = [4/3 × π × (2.5)³] cm³

[We don't need to do full calculations here because most of the terms will be eliminated in the division work of the next step.]

Number of smaller laddoo = Volume of bigger laddoo / Volume of smaller laddoo = [4/3 × π × (5)³] ÷ [4/3 × π × (2.5)³] = 4/3 × π × (5)³ × 3/4 × 1/π × 1/(2.5)³ = (5)³/(2.5)³ = 125/15.625 = 8

Hence, 8 laddoo of 2.5 cm radius is possible.
