a shopkeeper increased the price of a cycle by 15℅. The increased new price was rs.1610. What was the original price. pls ans fast i have exam tomorrow

If the old price is x,
New price is x*115/100
So, to find the original price:
100-15 = 85
85/100 * 1610 = 1368.5 rupees
Therefore, the original price is 1368.5 rupees.
